State government gives three-game ultimatum to Kano Pillars technical crew due to poor results

Abdul Makaiba, who leads the technical crew of Kano Pillars, has been instructed by the state government to produce improved outcomes for the team within the span of three matches.

The team, known as Sai Masu Gida, has encountered a decline in performance during the latter part of the ongoing season.

In their most recent match, the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions were defeated 2-1 by Bendel Insurance.

Prior to this defeat, Kano Pillars faced back-to-back losses, which included a 2-1 home defeat against Shooting Stars and a crushing 5-0 loss to the current champions, Enyimba.

The ultimatum will commence with the upcoming home game against Gombe United this weekend.

Following that, they will play an away match against former champions Akwa United and then a home game against Doma United.

At present, Pillars hold the seventh spot in the NPFL standings with 41 points garnered from 30 matches.
