During the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg match on Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele shed light on why his team managed to defeat Barcelona.
The French Ligue 1 side secured a 4-1 victory over Barcelona in Spain with goals from Dembele, Vitinha, and Kylian Mbappe.
With a 6-4 aggregate win, PSG has now secured a spot in the Champions League semi-final where they are set to face Dortmund, following a 3-2 victory in the last-8 first leg tie against Barca.
Following PSG’s triumph, Dembele expressed his thoughts to Canal+, stating: “Despite losing the first leg 3-2, everyone believed in our ability to qualify. We remained determined and knew we could find the back of the net in this match, showcasing a strong team effort.”
He added, “The team dedicated the entire week to tactical preparation with the coach, whose strategies proved to be impeccable. Even after conceding the initial goal, we maintained our composure and faith in our capabilities.”
