In a devastating turn of events, Government Senior Secondary School in Takalafia, located in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, was destroyed by a powerful rainstorm on Wednesday evening.
The destructive force of the storm also impacted other facilities within the school premises, compounding the situation.
As a consequence of this disaster, both the staff and students found themselves stranded on Thursday, unable to resume normal activities.
Comrade Sunday Soko, representing the Takalafia Students Union (TASU), issued a plea for assistance in a statement, urging governmental authorities and compassionate individuals or organizations to step in and alleviate the hardships faced by the school as a result of the rainstorm.
