Positive Outlook on Economic Challenges by Vice President Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed optimism on Wednesday, suggesting that the worst of the economic hardships may have passed.

Shettima praised the youth for their creativity and emphasized their role in shaping Nigeria’s future. He assured that the government will facilitate an environment conducive for their growth.

His remarks came during the official launch of the National Design and Innovation Competition held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Regarding the present economic conditions, the vice president stated confidently, “The worst is over.” He predicted a continued stabilization of the naira in the upcoming weeks and months as the administration led by President Bola Tinubu addresses issues such as food security, nutrition, and insecurity.

He also mentioned, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is making robust plans to ensure that all security challenges are tackled effectively.”

Shettima underscored the importance of youth and creativity, highlighting that innovation propels manufacturing and Nigeria is abundant with possibilities and opportunities.

Assuring support for youth ambitions and entrepreneurship, the vice president lauded the financial institutions for their encouragement of the creative sector.

He further revealed intentions to include young innovators in the government’s $617.7 million Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (i-DICE) program.
