Former Nigerian Senator Shehu Sani Praises Senegal’s President-Elect Bassirou Diomaye Faye for Game-Changing Victory

In a recent statement, Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian Senator, commended the newly elected President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, for his transformative approach to governance.

Faye, a 44-year-old member of the outlawed African Patriots of Senegal for Work, Ethics and Fraternity (PASTEF), emerged victorious in the presidential election as part of an opposition coalition’s populist movement.

The 44-year-old will officially assume office on April 2nd, succeeding current President Macky Sall.

Reflecting on Faye’s election triumph, Sani shared on X: “When Mbappe expressed interest in playing for Cameroon, they demanded payment from him, but France eventually provided him with the opportunity to represent the French national team.

“Choosing to embrace a French identity over Cameroonian is well within his rights. Genuine friends are those who stand by you during your toughest moments.

“The new Senegalese President has rewritten the playbook; every successful man has the unwavering support of two women.”
