On Thursday, the Taraba State Police Command showcased 28 individuals suspected of engaging in various criminal acts.

The Commissioner of Police, David Iloyanomon, presented the suspects to the press at the police headquarters in Jalingo, the state capital. He disclosed that the arrests were made in connection with crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, and culpable homicide.

Commending the joint efforts of security agencies and the general public in combating criminal activities in the state, the Commissioner emphasized the notable progress achieved in the fight against different forms of lawlessness.

Noteworthy achievements listed by the Commissioner included the capture of Abdulkarim Ibrahim, a renowned kidnapper known to operate in Sardauna local government council. Additionally, he mentioned the confiscation of various firearms like AK-47 rifles, pistols, and ammunition during operations targeting armed criminals.

Further updates included advancements in solving homicide cases, such as the apprehension of suspects related to the murder of a local monarch in Gassol local government council. Moreover, the arrest of individuals involved in cyber-crime, specifically posing as police officers, underscored the continuous efforts to combat digital offenses within the state.
