Two children, aged 12 and 13, shot by angry driver after throwing snowballs at passing cars

Playing with a group of children on Saturday evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two children, ages 12 and 13, were shot by an angry driver after they threw snowballs at passing cars, according to Milwaukee police.   As they were throwing snowballs at passing cars, one of the snowballs hit a white Toyota, prompting the driver to shoot at the children. The police found the 12-year-old girl and the 13-year-old boy minutes apart.   The girl sustained two gunshot wounds, while the boy was shot once. Both of their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening and they are receiving treatment at a local hospital, as confirmed by the police in a tweet.   Milwaukee police are currently searching for the suspect who shot the two children.

Following accusations of fraud, money laundering, and attempted murder against her husband, Marry Mubaiwa, the wife of Zimbabwe's Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, was granted bail by the High Court on Monday, January 6. 38-year-old Marry, who was granted bail of 50,000 Zimbabwe dollars, is required to surrender her diplomatic passport. She was arrested in December 2019 on charges of attempted murder, fraud, and violating the country's exchange control laws by transferring about $1m abroad. The businesswoman and former model, who is due for a routine pretrial appearance on January 14, was previously married to a national football player. A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck Puerto Rico early on Monday, resulting in landslides and some damage in the U.S. territory. Aftershocks are still anticipated.   The 5.8 tremor occurred at 5:32 a.m. ET, as reported by the US Geological Survey.
