NNPP Criticizes Adeleke’s ‘Ipade Imole’ Event as a PDP Gathering

The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has condemned the ‘Ipade Imole interactive session’ involving Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, labeling it as a frivolous and misuse of state funds.

Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, Osun NNPP chairman, Tosin Odeyemi, characterized the interactive program as a PDP-oriented gathering rather than an inclusive session with the citizens.

It is worth noting that the second edition of the quarterly interactive session by the Adeleke administration took place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Odeyemi, in questioning the state government to disclose the expenses incurred on the event, expressed dismay that amidst prevailing economic challenges affecting Nigerians, the Adeleke-led government engaged in an activity that lacked substance.

Instead of presenting his achievements and allowing for an open forum, Odeyemi stated that the Governor opted for a scripted session with predetermined queries from select attendees.

He cautioned the Governor and his team to refrain from squandering resources and suggested that a more constructive approach for gathering feedback would be participating in a live radio program to engage directly with the people about his stewardship in Osun.
