NNPP Leader Urges Tinubu to Support N200,000 Minimum Wage for Workers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been advised by Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a prominent member of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), to approve a minimum wage of N200,000 for workers.

Oguntoyinbo emphasized that the current minimum wage is insufficient to meet the needs of the workers.

This statement was part of Oguntoyinbo’s message shared with NewsNow on Wednesday.

On the occasion of this year’s Workers Day, Oguntoyinbo extended his greetings to workers and urged governors nationwide to prioritize the welfare of workers.

The NNPP leader stressed that a nation cannot achieve its desired level without the significant contribution of its workers.

According to Oguntoyinbo, ensuring an improved standard of living for Nigerian workers is crucial and should be a key focus of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“I join in celebrating with the Labour force and hope for a peaceful and harmonious celebration,” he expressed.

He continued, “I once again urge our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to consider approving a minimum wage of N200,000 for our workers.”

“The existing minimum wage is inadequate to support even the most vulnerable workers in the country in today’s economic climate,” Oguntoyinbo added.
