A legal action has been taken by deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, against the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, and the Department of State Security (DSS), concerning his detention following his dethronement in Awe community, Nasarawa state.   Sanusi, represented by his legal team led by Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), has filed the lawsuit under the reference FHC/ABJ/CS/357/2020 before the Federal High Court in Abuja today on March 12th.   Following his dethronement by Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Monday, March 9th, the former monarch was relocated to Nasarawa state, where he is currently in "exile."

48 suspected internet fraudsters arrested by EFCC in Ogun State

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ogun State has made an arrest of 48 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The suspects, aged between 18 and 28, claimed to be undergraduates. The arrests took place in an early morning raid on March 12, and the suspects were identified as Anwinilomo Tomisin, Ayeni Ifedapo, Melojuekun Oluwatobi, and others. They will soon be arraigned in court after the recovery of items such as exotic cars, mobile phones, laptops, and SIM cards from them. The EFCC has yet to release further details on the incident.
