Pep Guardiola confirms injury setback following 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest

Following Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest, manager Pep Guardiola has expressed concerns over the injury sustained by goalkeeper Ederson, hinting that he might miss a crucial phase of the season.

Ederson suffered a shoulder injury after colliding with Forest’s Willy-Arnaud Boly early in the game. Despite the blow, the Brazilian continued playing until halftime, at which point Guardiola replaced him with Stefan Ortega.

Ederson was later seen leaving with his arm in a sling, prompting Guardiola to comment, “It doesn’t look good. We’ll assess the situation with the doctor tomorrow.”

Manchester City’s upcoming fixture is against Wolves on Saturday.
