Labour MP Kate Osborne tests positive for coronavirus, becoming the second British politician affected

Announcing her positive coronavirus test on Twitter, Kate Osborne revealed that she has contracted the virus.   Having only been an MP since December, the Labour MP becomes the second British politician to be affected by the virus, while 16 others are self-isolating.   Kate Osborne, representing Jarrow, received her diagnosis following Health Minister Nadine Dorries' positive test and subsequent self-isolation. Death toll in Lagos explosion climbs to 20

As of Sunday, the death toll resulting from the explosion in the Abule Ado area of Lagos state on March 15th has now reached 20.   On Monday morning, the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority LASEMA discovered three additional bodies from the debris of some of the collapsed buildings at the Bethlehem Girls College in Abule-Ado.   Previously, 17 bodies, including that of a family of four, were recovered on March 16 from the explosion site.

Wadume, Notorious Kidnap Suspect, Faces Charges of Terrorism and Murder

The Nigerian Police Force brought Bala Hamisu, also known as Wadume, and 18 others before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court on charges of terrorism, murder, kidnapping, and illegal arms possession.   Wadume, a high-profile kidnapping suspect, was arrested by the police in Taraba state on August 6th. During his transfer to Jalingo, soldiers opened fire on the police team, leading to the death of three officers and a civilian. Wadume was subsequently released but was rearrested by the police 13 days later.   After his arrest, Wadume admitted that soldiers had rescued him initially. He alleged in a video that the soldiers took him to an apartment in Kano where they removed the handcuffs from his legs and hands. However, the Army has denied these allegations....
