Labour MP Kate Osborne Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Kate Osborne revealed on Twitter that she has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The newly elected Labour MP is the second British politician to have contracted the virus, while 16 others have self-isolated as a precaution.

Kate Osborne, who represents Jarrow, received her diagnosis after Health Minister Nadine Dorries, aged 62, tested positive and is currently recuperating at home.

Ms. Osborne stated that her positive result came “following a period of self-isolation and subsequent testing.”

She tweeted, “I will continue to self-isolate until I have defeated the illness. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to come together and support the most vulnerable in our communities.”
