Naomi Osaka Welcomes Arrival of Baby Daughter

Naomi Osaka, the esteemed four-time Grand Slam champion, has given birth to her first child in Los Angeles, as confirmed by the WTA.

The 25-year-old Japanese tennis sensation announced her pregnancy in January and disclosed last month that she and her partner, rapper Cordae, were anticipating the arrival of a baby girl.

Following her participation in the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo in September 2022, the former world number one decided to take a break from the sport.

Osaka, who boasts four major championship titles, most recently triumphed at the Australian Open in 2021.

In April, she expressed her aspirations of winning gold at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

After her US Open title defense came to an end in the third round, Osaka took a five-month hiatus in 2021, resulting in her current ranking of 436th in the WTA standings.
