General Updates

On Fire Adjustments

  • Fixed a bug where players gained On Fire at the start of a new round in Competitive Play.
  • Made On Fire and Blazing harder to achieve early in a round.
  • Reduced On Fire cooldown to 3 seconds.
  • On Fire score now decays quicker when not active.
  • Maintaining On Fire for extended periods is more challenging.

Competitive Updates

Introducing Team Queue, a new Competitive mode in Overwatch 2 where players must form a full group of five. Enjoy gameplay with fewer restrictions, including flexible role selection within the match.

Hero Updates

Explore the latest tweaks to various heroes, enhancing their abilities and gameplay:

To enhance gameplay balance, adjustments have been made to various heroes in Overwatch:

  • Photon Projector
    • Increased Secondary Fire maximum impact damage and explosion damage from 45 to 50.
    • Now regenerates up to 30 shield health per second when primary fire damages barriers or shielded enemies.
  • Sentry Turret
    • Reduced damage per second from 40 to 25.
    • Turrets now reveal enemy heroes to allies while dealing damage and for an additional second.

  • Rivet Gun
    • Reduced spread on Secondary Fire from 5 to 4.5 degrees.
  • Deploy Turret
    • Reduced turret damage from 14 to 11.
    • Increased cooldown from 10 to 12 seconds.
  • Overload
    • Now reloads 6 ammo upon use.

    • SUPPORT

    KIRIKO

    • Adjusted Healing Ofuda recovery time to improve responsiveness.

    ZENYATTA

    • Reduced Orb of Discord maximum range from 40 to 30 meters.
    • Decreased time for the effect to wear off target when out of sight from 2 to 1.5 seconds.

    BUG FIXES

    General

    • Resolved various issues such as pinging through walls as Sombra and Hero Icon challenges.
    • Fixed map loading screen discrepancies and Hero Select anomalies.
    • Addressed multiple crashes and localization problems.

    MAPS

    • Adjusted lighting issues in Blizzard World, Circuit Royale, Illios, and fixed gameplay-affecting gaps in Watchpoint Gibraltar, Numbani, and Oasis.

    HEROES

    • Fixed abilities and interactions for various heroes like Ashe, Baptiste, Cassidy, Echo, Junkrat, and others.
