A 20-year-old man named Peter Ezekiel is to be remanded in a correctional center, following allegations of abducting and assaulting a 14-year-old girl as ordered by a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Badagry, Lagos State.
The charges leveled against Ezekiel by the police are for abduction and assault, but details of his residence were not provided.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya, without allowing Ezekiel to enter a plea, directed for his remand in a correctional facility until a bail hearing at the High Court.
The Prosecution Counsel informed the court that Ezekiel reportedly committed the crime in December 2023 in the Bakery Area of Ashipa, Seme Border, Badagry, Lagos.
The alleged offense is in violation of various sections of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 including sections 411, 269, 261, and 263.
