The summer festival circuit will not feature performances from Kim Petras, the U.S.-based German singer, as she has announced the cancellation of all her appearances.
Citing advice from medical professionals, the Grammy winner revealed that she had to make this decision due to ongoing health concerns.
In a message shared on her Instagram account, she expressed her regret, stating, “I’m devastated to be writing this but I’m going through some health issues and under medical advice I had to make the hard decision to not perform at festivals this summer.”
Although she did not reveal the specific health ailment she is facing, Petras assured her fans that she will return to the stage in better condition soon.
The singer was scheduled to perform at various renowned events including the Primavera Sound Festival in Spain on May 29, Mighty Hoopla in the United Kingdom on June 1, Primavera Sound Porto in Portugal on June 6, LadyLand in New York City on June 28, and Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle in July.
