Iran Insists No External Attack Received, Official Discusses Retaliation Plans

According to Iranian officials, there are no immediate plans for retaliation against Israel.

A senior official from Iran spoke to Reuters on Friday, just hours after reports surfaced indicating an attack on Iranian soil by Israel.

Despite reports of an attack targeting its nuclear facility in Isfahan early on Friday morning, Iran has consistently denied any such incident.

It is reported that the attack was directed at a military installation with precision to prevent substantial damage and provoke further hostilities from Iran.

Quoted by the Guardian UK, a senior Iranian official stated, “The origin of the incident from a foreign entity has not yet been verified.”

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the Iranian official remarked, “We have not encountered any external assault, and the speculation seems to suggest infiltration rather than a full-fledged attack.”

Reuters also reported that an Iranian analyst informed state TV that the mini drones intercepted by air defenses in Isfahan were operated by “infiltrators originating from within Iran.”
