Incident involving a remotely piloted aircraft in Rajasthan, India


An aircraft operated remotely by the Indian Air Force (IAF) met with an accident in the state of Rajasthan, located in western India, as per official sources.

The incident did not result in any casualties or property damage.

Reportedly, the aircraft crashed while on a routine training exercise near Jaisalmer, which is approximately 600 km west of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.

An investigation has been initiated by the IAF to determine the cause of the crash.

In a similar incident last month, a Tejas aircraft belonging to the IAF crashed within the premises of a student hostel in Jaisalmer during a training mission.

Fortunately, the pilot managed to eject safely, and there were no reports of injuries on the ground.
