Sad Demise of Ex-Education Minister, Gbagi


Former Education Minister, Olorogun Barr Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, has passed away at the age of 62.

Gbagi also contested as the governorship candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the recent Delta State election.

The industrialist breathed his last at 62 years old.

An announcement was made by his eldest son, Chief Emuoboh Gbagi, on behalf of the Gbagi family. The statement read: “It is with a heavy heart but gratitude to God that we inform you of the demise of our dear father, grandfather, husband, and brother, Olorogun (Barr.) Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, FNIM, OON. He was a Former Minister of Education and he left us on the 4th of May 2024 at the age of 62.”

“We find solace in the cherished memories of his life, accomplishments, and the positive influence he had on numerous individuals and communities.

“During this difficult time of loss, we humbly seek your support and prayers for our family.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace”, concluded the statement.
