Friend stabs Bauchi teenager to death


In a tragic incident in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, 15-year-old Adamu Isa, the son of a retired police officer, was fatally stabbed by his friend, Abubakar Isa.

The unfortunate event took place on March 27 after a heated argument erupted between the two friends.

Reports from NewsNow revealed that this incident occurred just two days after a 16-year-old boy also fatally stabbed a 25-year-old man in another town in Bauchi State.

According to information received, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck near the throat with a knife, leading to the victim’s immediate demise before reaching the hospital.

Details about the cause of their altercation are still unclear.

In a statement, SP Ahmed Wakili, the spokesperson of the Bauchi State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Friday, revealing that a distress call was made to the Ningi Police Division by a retired DSP, Kasuwa Isa, who resides behind the INEC office in Ningi.

Wakil mentioned that the complainant reported that his son, Adamu Isa, 15, was stabbed in the neck by Abubakar Isah, also 15, a resident behind the NEPA office in Ningi.

“Upon receiving the report, the DPO of Ningi Division led a team of detectives to the scene, where they took the victim to the General Hospital in Ningi. Unfortunately, he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor,” he explained.

Wakil added that the suspect, Abubakar Isa, has been taken into custody by the police for further investigation.
