Francisco Garcia, 21, passes away from coronavirus while battling leukaemia

Francisco García, a young football coach, lost his life to the coronavirus after doctors diagnosed him with leukaemia, an unknown pre-existing condition that made him more susceptible to the virus than others his age. The 21-year-old was the youth team coach at Atletico Portada Alta, a club based in Malaga.

His pre-existing medical condition went undetected until he sought medical attention for coronavirus symptoms, which were later found to be aggravated by pneumonia. It was then revealed that he also had leukaemia, further complicating his health situation.

The club mourned his passing with a statement expressing their deepest condolences to his family and friends. They paid tribute to his contribution as a coach and his influence on the team.

Club president, Pep Bueno, also shared his grief, describing Francisco as a talented and well-liked coach. He was deeply shocked by the sudden turn of events.

These tragic circumstances serve as a sobering reminder of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
