As a billionaire who acquired X in October 2022, Musk also revealed that accounts exceeding 5000 followers will be granted Premium+ access for free.
This revelation was shared by Musk via his official X profile on Thursday.
In Musk’s own words, “Moving forward, all X accounts boasting over 2500 verified subscriber followers will have complimentary access to Premium features, while those surpassing 5000 will enjoy Premium+ privileges.”
According to reports from NewsNow, the X Premium subscription offers users various perks such as reduced advertisements and the ability to apply for revenue sharing, among other benefits.
Furthermore, the X Premium+ subscription carries additional advantages like ad-free browsing and prioritized reply options.
In a recent development, Musk confirmed that the Grok AI chatbot, previously exclusive to X Premium+ members, will soon be accessible to all Premium users. This decision comes amidst the escalating competition with OpenAI.
The billionaire is steadfast in his strategy to encourage users to make a nominal subscription payment to enhance the revenue of the social media giant.
