Regrettably, it has been confirmed that Alhaji Sidi Ali, a seasoned journalist and former legislator during the Second Republic, has passed away. The news of the demise of this distinguished elder statesman and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) elders committee in Kano State broke on Thursday.
The sad announcement was made by Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal legislator, in a post on his official Facebook page late Thursday night.
The late Alhaji Sidi Ali was also the father of Hakama Sidi Ali, who was recently appointed as the spokesperson for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
His career saw him serve at various esteemed institutions including the Nigerian International Press Centre, Ministry of Information, and National Broadcasting Commission.
