In Rivers State, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, rounded up nine individuals believed to be involved in online fraud.
According to a statement released by the Commission on Thursday, the suspects were apprehended based on reliable intelligence regarding their alleged participation in internet-related crimes.
Among the items seized from the suspects were various mobile devices, laptops, two cars, and numerous incriminating documents.
EFCC mentioned that once the investigations are complete, the suspects will be promptly taken to court for prosecution.
