Cubana Chief Priest voices opposition to EFCC trial over Naira abuse


Okechukwu Paschal, renowned as Cubana Chief Priest in the nightlife industry, has formally rejected the prosecution brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding allegations of naira abuse.

Following his arrest by the EFCC and subsequent appearance in a Lagos Federal High Court on a three-count charge related to naira abuse, Cubana Chief Priest expressed disagreement with the legal proceedings.

During the court session, Cubana Chief Priest’s legal representative, Chukosolo Ojukwu, raised objections to his client’s arraignment by the EFCC.

Ojukwu informed the court that a formal application opposing the trial had been submitted on behalf of his client.

Furthermore, he conveyed to the court that a bail application had also been filed on behalf of Cubana Chief Priest.
