For the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Kurmi quarters, Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State, a Jigawa State High Court has handed down life imprisonment to four individuals.
The convicted individuals are Sale Ibrahim (40), Amadu Saleh (46), Sale Ali (40), and Danmami Yusuf (37), found guilty of rape under Section 3 (1) and punishable under Section 3 (2a & 2b) of the VAPP Laws of Jigawa State.
In support of their case, the prosecution brought forth four witnesses, including a medical report, and submitted two exhibits.
Following presentations from both sides, the court ruled that the prosecution had sufficiently proven the case.
This sentencing follows a recent incident where the State High Court sentenced Aminu Ali, 25, to life imprisonment for rape and sodomy.
