In a match against Akwa United, Interim coach of Niger Tornadoes, Majin Mohammed, attributed his team’s defeat to unfortunate circumstances.
The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a 4-1 loss to the Promise Keepers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Mohammed noted that Akwa United displayed more determination to secure a victory in the game.
He mentioned that his players did not heed to his warnings prior to the match.
“Before the game, I had advised my players not to underestimate Akwa United based on their position in the league table, a warning that the game’s outcome reflected,” he emphasized.
“I can only attribute the loss to misfortune.
“Akwa United demonstrated a strong desire for points and they came out with great intensity, which worked in their favor.”
