Popular Big Brother Naija contestant, Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, also known as Doyin, has expressed her disapproval of singer Wizkid’s focus on seeking attention on social media rather than releasing new music.
Reports from NewsNow revealed that Wizkid caused a stir on Monday by indirectly shading Davido and Don Jazzy.
In response, Doyin criticized Wizkid for chasing clout and urged him to concentrate on dropping new hits instead.
She specifically called out Wizkid for what she perceived as disrespectful behavior towards Don Jazzy.
Taking to her Instagram, she emphasized, “Don Jazzy remains a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene, akin to Jay-Z. Showing disrespect towards him only reflects poorly on you. It’s not about seeking attention, focus on creating great music!”
Equally, reality TV personality and media influencer, Tacha, issued a stern warning to Wizkid, stating that any form of defamation or disrespect towards Don Jazzy would not be tolerated.
In a video message shared on her social media platforms, Tacha highlighted Don Jazzy’s invaluable contributions to the Nigerian music industry.
She emphasized the pivotal role Don Jazzy plays, asserting, “Any derogatory remarks towards Don Jazzy will not be accepted. His influence on the entertainment sector cannot be overstated.
“Removing Don Jazzy’s impact from the industry would essentially strip away half of the Afrobeats genre. Who else would you listen to? Don Jazzy has nurtured countless global icons.
“He extends his support to everyone, regardless of their status within the industry.”
Meanwhile, Don Jazzy responded to Wizkid’s subtle attack by unfollowing him on Instagram.
