Celebrating Bayer Leverkusen’s Victorious Bundesliga Campaign – Victor Boniface

The Bundesliga championship victory of Bayer Leverkusen has been attributed by Victor Boniface to a strategic reason.

Securing their first-ever Bundesliga title in the 102-year history, Die Werkself triumphed with a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen at the BayArena on Sunday.

This marked the end of Bayern Munich’s 11-year dominance in the German top-flight.

Under Xabi Alonso’s leadership, Leverkusen has remained undefeated in all competitions this season.

Boniface credited the team’s triumph to the astuteness of manager Alonso and the depth of the squad.

“The coach has a keen understanding of game situations,” Victor Boniface elaborated.

“Take the West Ham match (UEFA Europa League quarter-final first leg) for instance: both goal-scorers were substitutes.

“Xabi Alonso possesses the acumen to gauge what the team requires during games for optimal performance.

“We operate with a squad of 20-25 players, emphasizing collective contribution rather than just the starting eleven, ensuring all players give their best when presented with opportunities.”

Despite a three-month spell on the sidelines due to an adductor injury, the striker has maintained his position as the club’s top goal-scorer.

The 23-year-old has netted 18 goals and provided 10 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
