Brymo urges Burna Boy to step away from the pop scene

Singer Brymo, also known as Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, has put forward a suggestion to his fellow artist Burna Boy, advising him to consider stepping away from the pop music scene.

Suggesting that Burna Boy should “take a cause and focus,” Brymo mentioned that the ‘African Giant’ artist has been seeking attention, implying that he holds a significant position akin to that of a deity in the music industry.

As a gesture of support, Brymo expressed his willingness to assist Burna Boy if he were to request help in a respectful and mature manner.

Writing on his Instagram story, Brymo notified Burna Boy saying, “@BurnaBoyGram Hey! Let me point out three things to you… 1. It might be beneficial for you to distance yourself from the pop genre. Your appearance is somewhat displeasing, and with a voice like mine that lacks singing abilities, it would be wise to channel your energies into a specific cause. You possess unique qualities that the world deserves to witness.

“2. I stand on a divine level. Is it any wonder that you find yourself drawn to seek my attention? Even your international fame fails to overshadow my presence, despite not having the credentials you supposedly possess.

“What is it that you seek? I am ready to offer assistance if you approach me like a grown man with respect.”

It can be recalled that tensions arose between Burna Boy and Brymo following a performance by Burna Boy and his group last October, where Burna Boy engaged in a freestyle that seemed to be aimed at Brymo after Brymo accused him of plagiarism.

Brymo claimed that Burna Boy’s songs ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ borrowed elements from the title track of his album, ‘Macabre.’

Since then, the two artists have been embroiled in an ongoing feud on social media platforms.
