Bail granted to Cubana Chief Priest in the amount of N10m by the Court

With two sureties in like sum, businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, was granted N10m bail by the Federal High Court in Lagos State today.

Having formally entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of tampering and abuse of the naira during his trial, the celebrity bar man stood before the court.

Justice Kehinde Ogundare presided over the arraignment of Cubana Chief Priest on three counts relating to the abuse of the naira. This was allegedly done by spraying and tampering with the nation’s currency at a social gathering, against the Central Bank Act of 2007.

It was reported that on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel, Cubana Chief Priest was seen allegedly spraying the naira notes.

During a social event while dancing, he was said to have committed the offenses, tampering with funds in the form of N500 notes issued by the CBN by continuous spraying for a duration of two hours.
