Appreciation for Dangote Refinery’s Decrease in Diesel Price by Ex-MAN Chairman

Dr. Wale Adegbite, a previous leader of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria in Ogun Chapter, has commended Dangote Petroleum Refinery for reducing the cost of diesel from N1,200 to N1,000 per liter nationwide.

In an interview with journalists in Ota, Ogun, Adegbite expressed his optimism for the continuation of this price reduction without engaging in predatory pricing strategies.

Adegbite hailed Dangote Refinery’s decision to lower diesel prices, emphasizing that it would support businesses in coping with the current economic difficulties in the country.

“The decrease in diesel price from N1,200 to N1,000 is a significant development that will cut down on business expenses.

We hope that this pricing strategy can be maintained without resorting to predatory practices,” he mentioned.

On Tuesday, the spokesperson for Dangote Group, Mr. Tony Chiejina, disclosed this information in an official statement.

Three weeks ago, Dangote Refinery introduced this product at a reduced price of N1,200 per liter, marking a more than 30% decrease from the previous market rate of approximately N1,600 per liter.
