APC Kano Responds to Alleged Suspension of Ganduje, Ousts Ward Leaders

Following the purported suspension of the National Chairman of APC, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, by Ward Party Leaders in Dawakin Tofa Local Government, the APC state working committee in Kano has taken firm action against those involved.

The local government officials of the APC in Dawakin Tofa swiftly intervened to nullify the suspension and dismissed the individuals responsible for it.

According to the APC Dawakin Tofa Local Government Chairman, Inusa Dawanau, the individuals behind the suspension of the National Chairman were found engaging in anti-party activities, and evidence of their meetings with opposition members was uncovered.

The state working committee of the Party has sanctioned the APC Ward leaders involved in the suspension, imposing a six-month suspension on them. Additionally, a special investigations panel has been established to verify the various allegations against them.

Abdullahi Abbas, the Kano Chairman of the Party, confirmed that the decisions made by the LG Party Leaders have been endorsed.

Abbas stated, “We have proof of meetings between state government officials and those responsible for the suspension of the National Chairman. The state working committee has decided to suspend them for six months due to their actions.”

However, one of the accused party members, Halliru Gwanjo, mentioned that they chose to suspend Ganduje from the party based on bribery allegations leveled against him by the Kano State government.
