Allegation: DSS Accused of Assault and Harassment by Aisha Galadima, El-Rufai’s Associate, Upon Release in Kaduna

Upon her release, Aisha Galadima, a political ally of ex-governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, claimed she faced harassment and physical assault while in Department of State Services (DSS) custody.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) member raised the accusation following her detention by the security agency.

Galadima was apprehended in Kaduna after she posted on Facebook criticizing the state governor, Uba Sani.

Earlier reports disclosed that she was taken into custody from her home on a Sunday afternoon.

A sibling of hers confirmed the arrest, stating, “Aisha has been picked up by DSS at her Tudun Wada residence in Kaduna.”

Upon her release, the APC member alleged mistreatment and physical assault by the DSS officials.

Speaking to reporters, Galadima narrated being forcibly removed from her room by four DSS operatives.

“While I was preparing to take a bath in my room, they barged in and forcibly dragged me out. I noticed four of their Hilux vehicles waiting outside the gate. They pushed me into one vehicle and drove off,” she recounted.

She stated that the DSS accused her of making critical posts against the governor back in February.
