“The Trump Administration could be days away from launching a nuclear attack against Iran,” said far-right journalist and former supporter of Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, in a publication on the social network
The target of the attack, in the journalist’s words, would be Pica Mountain, which is located in central Iran and where, according to Israeli intelligence, “the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program.” For this reason, “Bibi – the name by which the American president calls Netanyahu – calls Trump about it every day, according to one observer.”
Netanyahu needs Trump around after election results
Israel’s election results show a complicated result for Netanyahu because, although the Likud was the party with the most votes, his coalition does not have a sufficient majority to form a government in the Knesset. For this reason, unless Trump intervenes “directly” in Israeli politics, the prime minister will be out “and on his way to disgrace, investigated and possibly in jail,” according to Carlson.
Therefore, “Netanyahu must stay close to Trump and he needs this war.” Thus, both the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, and the commander of CENTCOM, Brad Cooper, would also have been pressured and “both oppose a negotiated agreement,” because “they are pushing to restart major combat operations.”
America’s allies in the East are afraid
Carlson maintains that they are also “in the same line as Netanyahu,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Democratic Party leaders, while the rest of the United States’ allies in the Middle East are “terrified” at the prospect of more war, given that the Gulf economies are “shaking.”
The decision whether or not to use nuclear weapons against Iran would come next weekend, advances the journalist, who says that both his vice president, JD Vance, and his envoy Steve Witkoff, would be telling him that “an agreement can be reached with Iran.”
Israel and Russia deny this information
The Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, has described the information published by Tucker Carlson as “delirious” and has assured that “Netanyahu is not pressuring Trump”, but rather that “Trump knows exactly what he wants to achieve and how he wants to achieve it”, which is why “Israel collaborates with the United States”.
For his part, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has asserted that “there are no reasons” to talk about a possible nuclear attack by the United States on Iran. “I see no reason to reach such conclusions,” he said in statements to the Interfax agency.
Furthermore, he pointed out that Carlson made these statements just on the eve of the midterm elections, possibly with the aim of influencing voters. “Sometimes this behavior is used. This information has not been confirmed by other sources,” Lavrov detailed.
