In a harrowing incident, the secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Musa Ille, was ruthlessly gunned down by unknown gunmen suspected to be armed bandits.
The fatal shooting of Musa took place right outside his residence in Tsafe town during the evening hours on Monday.
Musa Ille, a dedicated grassroots politician, played a pivotal role in the party’s success during the 2023 Election which saw Dauda Lawal emerge as the state governor, as per TVC reports.
This sad occurrence follows shortly after the tragic killings of PDP chieftain Shafiu Abubakar and two others in Maradun Local government within the state.
Shafiu Abubakar, who met an untimely demise, was an aspirant for the Tsafe Local government chairmanship position under the PDP banner.
Tsafe local government area has witnessed a resurgence of violent activities attributed to armed bandits in recent times. However, the government reassures that it is steadfast in its efforts to restore peace to all troubled regions within the state.
