Members of Tofa-led APC executives disassociate from alleged involvement in Ganduje’s suspension

Denial of involvement in Monday’s suspension of APC’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, was expressed by executives of the All Progressives Congress in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Ward in Kano State.

On Wednesday, during a solidarity visit to Ganduje at the party secretariat, the Legal Adviser of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Ward in Kano State, Halliru Gwanzo, led a 27-member delegation and made the rebuttal.

Regarding the court case filed against the former Kano State governor on Wednesday, Gwanzo stated he had no knowledge of it.

This development follows a statement by the same politician in Kano, where he indicated that the decision to suspend the former governor was made by the APC ward leadership.

Gwanzo cited the bribery charges against Ganduje by the Kano State Government and his scheduled arraignment on Thursday as the basis for their actions.

Speaking to the press in Abuja on Wednesday, Gwanzo claimed he was impersonated and urged the ruling party to investigate the matter and punish those responsible.

He said, “I am here today with 27 members from our ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government in Kano State to refute the alleged suspension of our national chairman. It is misinformation.”

Gwanzo expressed his surprise at seeing his name listed as one of the plaintiffs in the legal action taken against him on the same day, calling it completely false.

He emphasized his lack of involvement in the allegations and urged the party leadership and the National Working Committee to pursue the impersonators.

Suggesting that the impersonators should be held accountable, he believed the orchestrated act was done by the NNPP government and the Kwankwasiyya group.
