In a recent statement, Mutiu Adepoju, a former international footballer, has urged football fans to rally behind Finidi George, the newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles.
Finidi was officially announced as the head coach of the three-time African champions on Tuesday after previously serving as an assistant to former head coach Jose Peseiro.
Congratulating the former winger on his new role, Adepoju took to social media to share his thoughts. He wrote, “Congratulations to my brother, Finidi George for getting the final nod as @NGSuperEagles Head Coach. Let’s unite and wish him every success.”
Finidi’s tenure will kick off with the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin scheduled for June.
