The Delta monarch arrested in connection with soldiers’ killings has been released by the Army

In response to the tragic murder of 17 soldiers in Delta State on 14 March 2024, the Nigerian Army has decided to release the traditional ruler, Clement Ikolo, who was earlier declared wanted and taken into custody.

Accused along with seven others by the Defence Headquarters, the monarch has been set free under the supervision of Senator Ede Dafianone.

His release took place at the Army Headquarters in a short ceremony led by Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations.
