Super Eagles: Desire to See Peseiro Back in the Fold

The return of Jose Peseiro to the Super Eagles post is being championed by Sports minister John Enoh, as per reports from NewsNow.

Information gathered by NewsNow from a trusted source within the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, indicates that Enoh has begun discussions with Peseiro’s representatives regarding the potential comeback to lead the Super Eagles.

There are indications that Peseiro himself is willing to entertain the idea of resuming his position.

“The sports minister is actively engaging with Peseiro’s representatives with a view to his return,” disclosed the source to NewsNow.

“Peseiro is also receptive to the possibility of coming back. More clarity is expected in the days ahead.”

Peseiro, a Portuguese national, guided the Super Eagles to a commendable second-place finish in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cote d’Ivoire.

The 63-year-old coach vacated the position at the end of February upon the completion of his contract term.
