Reports indicate that Archbishop Uka Uka Osim of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, along with his wife, Anne Osim, and their son, Roland Uka Osim, were forcibly abducted at gunpoint.

On the 1st of May 2024, the family, together with three additional clergymen, were forcefully taken in Abia State while en route to Awka in Anambra State for evangelical responsibilities.

The armed individuals intercepted them during their journey.

These three clergymen who were also kidnapped alongside the Osim family have been identified as Azuka Ochu, Moses Okafor, and Anderson Akwazie.

Confirmation of their abduction was made by Bishop Denis Onuoha, the administrator of the spiritual organization in Abia State – BCS.

Despite the passage of four days since the incident, there has been no contact from the abductors.

Bishop Denis Onuoha expressed concern, stating, “We are deeply troubled; however, we maintain faith that the divine being they serve devotedly will ensure their safety.”

The appeal for intervention by security agencies for the rescue of the clergymen has been coupled with an unwavering commitment to prayer, with the belief that the Archbishop and his companions will be safely recovered.

At present, the police authorities in both Anambra and Abia States are yet to issue a response regarding the abduction.
