Seventy-Four Internet Fraudsters Arrested in Ogun by EFCC


On Thursday, in Ogun State, the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended a total of seventy-four (74) individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

Located in the Government Residential Area (G.R.A), Shagamu, Ogun State, the alleged fraudsters were taken into custody by the anti-graft agency.

Per a statement released by the Commission on its Twitter account, the surveillance and intelligence operations conducted led to the exposure of the suspects’ suspected online offenses.

During the operation, the authorities seized a variety of items from the suspects, including seven luxury cars, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, a PlayStation 3 gaming console, two motorcycles, and various other incriminating documents.

Upon the completion of investigations, the suspects are expected to face legal charges in court, as confirmed in the statement.
