Renowned Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti has publicly criticized American music sensation DJ Khaled for his lack of involvement in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
Despite hailing from Palestine, DJ Khaled has remained conspicuously silent on the tragic events unfolding in his homeland, particularly regarding the loss of innocent lives.
Kuti pointed out that while DJ Khaled often showcases his opulent lifestyle on social media, he fails to leverage his platform to condemn the atrocities being committed against Palestinian civilians, especially women and children.
In a video shared on his Instagram account, Kuti expressed his disappointment, stating, “DJ Khaled, a Palestinian by heritage, has chosen to remain indifferent to the plight of his people. Instead of speaking out against the violence and bloodshed, he prioritizes flaunting his material possessions to boost his self-image.”
