Reports have emerged stating that Senator Ayogu Eze from Enugu State has passed away.
He had represented Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
A reliable source informed NewsNow that Eze, a former Senate spokesperson, breathed his last in an Abuja Hospital after battling a long-standing illness.
As per the source, the late Senator had been unwell, preventing him from attending his child’s wedding ceremony earlier this year in Lagos State.
Senator Eze was one of the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He later switched sides to the All Progressives Congress, APC, where he contested for the Enugu State gubernatorial election.
