Response from Davido on Cubana Chief Priest’s bail over Alleged Naira abuse

Singer Davido has shared his thoughts on the recent development of socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, being granted N10 million bail after pleading not guilty to accusations of Naira abuse.

According to reports from NewsNow, Cubana Chief Priest appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court in Lagos and was faced with a three-count charge brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) related to Naira abuse. Following his plea of not guilty, he was granted bail set at N10 million along with two sureties of equal sum.

Expressing his gratitude on Instagram after being granted bail, Cubana Chief Priest thanked his friends and supporters for their concern, stating that the trial experience has been humbling and reaffirms his resilience.

In response to Cubana Chief Priest’s post, Davido took to the comments section to express his disbelief at the notion of his friend being imprisoned, emphasizing his inability to cope with not seeing him for six months.

Davido wrote, “I no go see u for 6 months ke… Never.”

It’s worth noting that in a separate incident, Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos recently sentenced crossdresser Bobrisky to six months in jail without the option of a fine for his involvement in Naira mutilation.
