Updates from JAMB Regarding Challenges Faced by Candidates in Accessing UTME Results

Amidst complaints from candidates encountering issues while checking their 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has offered clarifications.

This development comes after JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, announced the release of the UTME results earlier this week.

NewsNow also provided a guide on how candidates can check their results using SMS and the online portal.

However, some candidates reported difficulties in accessing their results as anticipated.

A few of these candidates took to social media platforms to express their frustrations.

In response, JAMB addressed some of the concerns raised through its official communication channels.

One user, @gbedutainer21, inquired: “My phone was stolen last year along with the SIM. How can I check my result without the SIM?”

JAMB advised the user to “retrieve the SIM card to access the result,” emphasizing the importance of the SIM as a unique identifier necessary for various JAMB services.

Another user, @abilityways, shared: “I paid for my JAMB results but still unable to view them.”

In such cases, JAMB recommended visiting an approved CBT Centre for assistance.

Similarly, @Dikeemmanuel46994 asked, “How can I recover my JAMB registration number? I have forgotten the email and phone number linked to it.”

In response, JAMB directed the candidate to “seek assistance at the nearest JAMB office for the necessary support.”
