Recent Attack on Soldiers in Delta State Causes Demoralization

Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, has expressed his deep concern over the recent killing of military personnel in Delta State, referring to it as demoralizing.

He lamented that those responsible for the deaths were individuals whom the soldiers had vowed to protect.

Lagbaja pointed out that the personnel were carrying out a lawful duty when they tragically lost their lives.

During the burial ceremony for the fallen soldiers in Abuja on Wednesday, Lagbaja mentioned that a total of 21 children had been left fatherless and 10 women had become widows due to the actions of the perpetrators.

Seeking the community’s cooperation, Lagbaja urged for the apprehension of those responsible for this heinous crime.
