Primate Ayodele Urges Tinubu to Alter Strategy in Response to Impending Economic Hardships

In a recent statement, Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Church advised President Bola Tinubu to reconsider his approach to economic challenges, warning of further economic crises awaiting Nigeria.

While acknowledging Tinubu’s involvement in addressing the devaluation of the Naira, Primate Ayodele emphasized that the government has not taken adequate measures to combat economic difficulties in the nation.

Communicated through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the prophet predicted that prices would remain high, with increased inflation unless the government prioritizes agriculture and domestic production and refining of petroleum products.

He expressed, ‘I commend the federal government for the progress made in strengthening the Naira. Their efforts have been commendable and have averted a major crisis for Nigeria.’

‘Nevertheless, prices are expected to soar, and inflation will persist. The government must focus on establishing local oil production and refining processes to boost the economy, alongside enhancing the agricultural sector.’

Primate Ayodele cautioned about lingering economic challenges, foreseeing a rise in electricity tariffs and continued public grievances about power supply issues.

Highlighting the ongoing struggles faced by the masses, he urged the federal government to devise a new economic strategy to alleviate hardships.

He added that any perceived economic progress would be superficial unless the government addresses the root issues instead of resorting to quick fixes.
