Primate Ayodele Advises Tinubu to Reject Terrorism-Encouraging Advice and Criticizes Ex-Minister Shittu

President Bola Tinubu has been cautioned by the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, against considering advice that may promote terrorism within Nigeria.

Primate Ayodele emphasized the importance for Tinubu to address the issue of insecurity directly to prevent any adverse impacts on his administration.

This caution came as Primate Ayodele criticized former Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, for suggesting that the government should negotiate and rehabilitate terrorists, claiming they have prospects and advocating for alternative approaches to dealing with them.

Contrary to Shittu’s views, Primate Ayodele argued that there is no future in terrorism as it has only resulted in the destruction of the nation through their actions.

In a statement conveyed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele highlighted the loss of lives of soldiers and innocent civilians due to terrorist activities, emphasizing the necessity for the government to honor the sacrifices made by these individuals.

He asserted, “There is no potential benefit in terrorism, as terrorists have been responsible for the devastation and abduction of innocent people in the country. They pose a significant threat and should be treated accordingly.”

Concerning President Tinubu, Primate Ayodele cautioned him to be wary of any advice that may fuel terrorism in the nation and emphasized the importance of ensuring that the sacrifices of fallen heroes are respected in the fight against insecurity.

Ayodele further recommended that Tinubu should scrutinize individuals who express support for terrorists, considering the atrocities committed by these groups throughout the nation.

He criticized the concept of rehabilitating terrorists as inhumane, citing the numerous casualties resulting from their violent acts.

“Neglecting security concerns could negatively impact Tinubu’s administration, hindering development and economic progress. Those advocating for the rehabilitation of terrorists should be held accountable for their inhumane stance,” Ayodele remarked.
